Our Client has been a family owned and operated business since 1984. Specializing in moving the largest trees possible without a crane, their largest spade is 30% larger than anyone else’s in Colorado. Our Client works with homeowners, excavators, land developers, municipalities, and anyone else who is looking to add immediate beauty to their land or save trees from being cut down. Based in Denver, Colorado, our Client can move trees anywhere in the nation.

As a Driver, you will be responsible for driving one of the largest pieces of equipment on the highway pulling our 50′ plus trailer Bigger Digger (124″ diameter) and maneuvering it around developments for golf courses, commercial facilities, and private residences. Experience mapping routes with weight and load restrictions and contracting pilot car operators preferred.

The ideal candidate will also have prior heavy equipment operator experience. Will be capable of operating tree spade equipment, securing tree for a move, digging and transplanting. Further, as the face of the business, you will be working with clients directly on-site to advise them on the best procedures for successful tree transplantation. Operators will need to be independently motivated and capable of self-directing work. Job hours can be flexible in most cases during daylight hours as long a job can be completed in a timely matter.

Candidates should have the mechanical aptitude to work on equipment, change tires, work on hydraulic systems. When not operating or driving equipment, employees may be compensated for time spent maintaining equipment, driving to potential job sites to evaluate the ability to complete work, and other miscellaneous tasks that further the goals of the company.

The job is ideal for those who prefer outdoor work with their hands outside year round (dependent on dry, nonfreezing conditions). Jobs may require physically demanding roles tying tree limbs, climbing equipment and trees, driving steaks in the ground, lifting and shoveling.

Compensation based on prior experience. Bonuses for successful completion of large jobs. Opportunity for sales commission bonuses from $50-$2,000 for work you are able to source or find.

From time to time, the operator may be required to work out of state on job for 1-4 weeks with housing and per diem compensated.

Candidates may have a second job as long as they can arrange availability when work is scheduled with as little as 1-2 weeks notice.

Job Requirements:

Class A with current Medical card / acceptable MVR that meets DOT requirements
Clean background check and drug testing
Ability to perform physically demanding job including pushing, lifting, pulling 50lbs plus.
Ability to secure necessary permits and pilot escorts as required

Preferred Experience:

Previous heavy equipment operator experience
Mechanical background and able to perform routine inspections and maintenance on all equipment from Semi to hydraulics

Job Type: Part-time with the opportunity to go full time through high demand seasons.

We can also offer more hours up to 40 hours a week if you are able to fix and service other machinery at the shop.

Pay: $25-$40 per hour DOE
